Christmas Song Video – Cute Animals Got Talents Too

Just watched a cute video clip on YouTube featuring a bunch of animals singing Christmas song. I find it very entertaining to see the animals of different species singing Christmas song with the help of some special effects produced in the video. It is indeed very cute.

I think the creator of the video clip has done a very good job in designing the animation to match the song. It makes the flow of the video a smooth and interesting one.

Besides the popular “American Got Talent” and “Briton’s Got Talent” shows, I think the creator of the video clip has produced a successful “Animals Got Talent” video too.

As Christmas is drawing near, I think the “Cute Animal Christmas Song” is a fun video for the families, friends and loved ones to watch and share the joy.

Here is the video clip of the “Cute Animal Christmas Song” :

Christmas Tree – Decorating With Beautiful Ornaments, Decorations and Topper

Christmas is around the corner and most of the shopping centres have displayed the Christmas trees to welcoming its arrival.

In fact, the Christmas light-up at Orchard Road had already been started since the beginning of December. Some of the shopping centres and commercial buildings had put up the Christmas decorations as early as late November.

Yesterday I spotted a tall and attractive Christmas tree was standing in the middle of the hall after attending an Internet seminar. So, I took out my camera phone and got a quick shot of that beautiful Christmas tree straight away.

It makes me feel happy to see all the Christmas trees are hanging with beautiful ornaments, decorations and toppers no matter where I go. I think this festive season is going to help boost the morale of everybody and also improve the economy for awhile.

Christmas is a time for us to give and to share the joy. Let us stop worrying about the bad economy and stop tightening our belts for the time being during the holiday season. Just buy if you feel the need to buy. Just give if you feel the need to give. So, be generous and give.

Beautiful Christmas Lightup Along Orchard Road 2008

I went to Orchard Road recently and was impressed by the Christmas decorations and lighting over there. The Christmas lightup looks so beautiful especially in the late evening.

You can see that many people, including tourists, were very excited holding camera in their hands. They were so busy taking pictures with their friends and families. Probably this would be their memorable moment to be shared with their loved ones by capturing the beautiful night scene at the Orchard Road.

We have two more weeks to go to welcome the arrival of Christmas 2008. Let us make our countdown now…………..

Having Fun Ice-Skating On The Synthetic-Ice Rink And Bowling At The Alley

My family and I visited the E!Hub located at Downtown East again yesterday. This was the second time that we had been to E!Hub since November. We saw the Ferris Wheel there and it looked really beautiful with the lights on while turning.

Here is a picture of the Ferris Wheel :

Our plan was to have a fun game at the bowling alley. As it was a public holiday (Hari Raya Haji) yesterday, there were many people there waiting for their turns to play bowling. We made our booking and got our quene number. We estimated it would take about 2 hours to reach our turn so we decided to come back later.

Then, we went to the Rink to have some fun. It’s a 2,000 square feet ice-skating rink made of synthetic material which looks like real ice. We rented the skates and bought our gloves before entering the rink to have an hour of fun.

Everybody was so tired and hungry after the ice-skating so we went to have some food first before going on to our next game. We went to the Super Dog fast-food restaurant and were greeted politely by the crew. Their greeting was “Welcome to Super Dog!”. My nephews and I just found it funny and giggled. It reminded us of the cartoon character showing in the cartoon network that always says : “Stupid Dog!”.

My family and I went to the bowling alley after having our food. We booked one lane for 6 persons to play. It was really fun to have the children around playing bowling with us.

See how my niece made her strike :

We had great fun yesterday at the E!Hub. We really enjoyed the ice-skating on the synthetic-ice rink and bowling at the alley. How I wish everyday is a holiday!

Happy Deepavali Day – A Day For Celebration And To Beat The Monday Blues

Thanks goodness, today is a public holiday. I don’t have to think of ways to beat the Monday blues for today. Thanks to Indians or Hindus for celebrating their Deepavali Day.

Today is already the third day of the long weekend. Hmm…how time flies? Just a blink of an eye and the 3 days have passed so quickly without us even realising it. I have to go back to work tomorrow and get stressed out by the long list of unfinished tasks again.

Although I’m dedicated to my work, I don’t consider myself as a workaholic even though some people have mistaken I’m one. Anyway, I will put work behind me for today because today is a public holiday. This is a time for me to relax and to enjoy myself. After all, I’m a human instead of a working machine.

So, I went to shopping with my sisters today. As usual, we will either go to foodcourt, fast-food chain or restaurant to have our lunch. As for today, we chose to go to the Chinese Ramen restaurant to have noodle meals.

We ordered Tom Yam Seafood Ramen, Ginseng Chicken Ramen, Shrimp with Carrot Dumplings and Chinese tea for our lunch.

Shrimp with Carrot Dumplings (Har Kau) :

We have been to this Koo Kee Chinese Ramen restaurant many times. We like the way they cook the Ramen / noodles and we also like the various flavours of other side dishes. The shrimps inside the dumplings are very crunchy and fresh. The Tom Yam Seafood Ramen is not too spicy and it is suitable for kids too.

Koo Kee Chinese Ramen restaurant is one of our favourite restaurants. We really love the food there. The price is reasonable too. I would consider this as value for money. Happy Holiday!

How I Want To Spend My Long Weekend And Enjoy Myself On Deepavali Day?

I was working late on Friday night to clear my work before calling it a night. My former boss was working late too. He knew that I was working quite late recently and he came to look for me to see how I was doing. Apparently, I would be the last one to leave the office so he told me not to work too late and tired myself.

My former boss told me that he was still deciding whether to drive in to Malaysia as he was not sure whether it would be safe to do so. He then asked me how I would want to spend the long weekend as Monday is a public holiday for Indians to celebrate Deepavali.

I told him that I will be working on Saturday to clear my work. He apologised to me for asking how I would want to spend my long weekend and then reminded me not to stay too late before leaving the office. Although my former boss is no longer my boss, he still shows some concerns to me. So, I think my former boss is not too bad a person after all.

Frankly speaking, I have no plan yet as to how I want to spend my long weekend. At the present moment, I just want to clear as many tasks as possible so that I could have a peaceful mind.

Have A Good Rest On Children’s Day Cum Selamat Hari Raya 2008

Today is Children’s Day as well as Hari Raya Day so it is a public holiday and most of the people do not have to work on this day except for some people. My sister is working on shift work so she will be getting a triple pay for working on a public holiday.

childrens-day-hari-raya

Although today is Children’s Day, I didn’t buy any present for my niece and nephews this year. I feel that they don’t really treasure the gifts that adults have given to them. Sometimes, the kids are just taking things for granted so I have stopped buying toys for them unless they ask for it. Furthermore, the cost of living is getting higher and higher, it is better to save the money to prepare for a rainy day.

I don’t have many Muslim friends around so I usually don’t have to pay a visit to their house on the Hari Raya Day or the Celebration Day Of Fasting. I remember my mom used to buy some gfits such as chocolates, sweets, etc. for our Muslim neighbours who were staying next to our old house when she was alive. In return, they will buy some cookies for us during Chinese New Year. We respected each other’s cultures, customs, religions and so on. I think it is a good practice to give and it makes us feel good to be generous.

I’m resting at home today but I had thought about going back to my office to fix my desktop PC which is giving me problem since last week. It shuts down automatically and then reboots by itself. I’m worrying that it might have something got to do with corrupted system files or virus attack or harddisk problem. I wanted to do a backup of data but the PC keeps shutting down by itself and I don’t seem to have the chance to copy anything out to the external HDD at all.

The PC problem has really been bothering me for a few days and I can’t do my work conveniently. I approached my company’s IT department but the IT guy was just not friendly and not helpful to provide any kind of help. What’s the point of having an IT department if we need to resolve all kinds of PC problem all by ourselves then?

I was just too lazy to step out of my house so I didn’t go back to my office today to fix the PC problem. I’ll see what I can do tomorrow when I get back to my office. I’ll forget about the desktop PC problem for today. Besides surfing Internet, I took a nap in the afternoon and it made me feel very fresh when I woke up. I think I have been working too hard lately, I really deserve some kind of good rest.

Orange Festival In Netherlands – Abundance Of Oranges Everywhere

The Queens Day or Koninginnedag of Netherlands falls on 30 April. Orange is the colour of their Royal family. You can see that the Amsterdam’s streets, roads, parks and canals come alive in a sea of Orange. It is preferable if not mandatory to wear orange during this national event of the Amsterdam Orange Festival.

The whole city comes alive with the bright orange colour that you can see everywhere. It should be very fun to visit Netherlands during the Orange Festival.

It is amazing to see that oranges can be used to build windmills, castle, houses and so on. This shows that everything is possible to happen with creative minds and ideas.

P.S. : I get inpsired by the Orange Festival in Netherlands and /or the Citrus Festival or Festival Citrusov in the South of France. So, I had decided to use orange colour as the theme colour when I was designing my new website design.

My website is called LogoVale.com and let me know if you like my design work 🙂

Mid-Autumn Festival Day 2008 – Also Called Mooncake Festival or Lantern Festival

Today is the Mid-Autumn Day which falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese calendar. The Mid-Autumn Festival is also known as the Mooncake Festival, Lantern Festival and Harvest Festival. This is a popular East Asian tradition of Chinese origin.

Here is a picture of the oriental beautiful Chinese lady featured as a model for the Mooncake advertisement :

The new moon day is the first day of a Chinese Lunar Month. The first day of the 8th lunar month in the year 2008 is 31st August 2008 so the Mooncake Festival is on 14 September 2008 in the Gregorian calendar. The Chinese Mid-Autumn Day is an auspicious occasion. It is a time of gathering and reunion for families and friends. This is a moment for people to come together and to enjoy mooncakes, Chinese tea and appreciate the moon at its fullest.

I like to eat mooncakes, especially those white-lotus seed paste with double egg yolks. I cannot stop eating mooncake once I cut it into 4 pieces. I can just eat the mooncake quarter piece by quarter piece until there are not many mooncakes left in the box.

Here is a picture of the traditional mooncake :

I wish you have an enjoyable Mid-Autumn Day if you celebrate Mooncake Festival. Even if you don’t, I still wish you have a wonderful Sunday with your loved ones.
