Today is Friday the 13th. It is also the World Kindness Day which was established on 13 November 1998 in Tokyo.

Back in 1997, there were seven countries, including Singapore, came together to sign a declaration for the WORLD KINDNESS MOVEMENT. Its mission is to inspire individuals towards greater kindness. Its aim is to inpsire spontaneous acts of kindness to make life more pleasant for everybody.

It is important to look beyond the boundaries of gender, race and creed. The one common thing that bonds human beings to live together in peace is KINDNESS. So, please be kind to your family, friends and yourself.

Besides World Kindness Day, today is also a variable bonus payout day for my company. Like I had mentioned in my earlier Blog posts, Friday the 13th is a lucky day in my eyes. Today is a special and good day, let us treasure Friday the 13th and be kind to each other.

Today is the 1st of October and this is the special day for all children around the world regardless of race, language, nationality and religion.

Children’s Day includes the celebration for the big children such as youths who have just past 12 years old just like my niece and elder nephew. At least, they dare to claim that they are still considered as children. Oh boy! Their skins are really thick but anyway………. 😛

I would like to wish all children (big or small) and those young-at-heart adults have a very HAPPY CHILDREN’S DAY! May the child in you live forever!

I just came to know that there is a Blog Action Day even though I have been blogging for two years 🙂 The date of this special blogging event falls on 15 October.

So, what is Blog Action Day all about? Well, this is an event where bloggers from all over the world get together and discuss an important issue. The tagline of this blogging event is : “One issue, one day, thousands of voices.”

This is the third year that BlogActionDay.org has been running the event. This annual blogging event is targeting to get bloggers to post about the same issue on the same day on their own blogs. The topic for this year is on climate change. The aim is to spark discussion around global warming.

This Blog Action Day 2009 event implies that Blogs and new media are getting important. They can help spread the message of an important global issue concerning you and me.

I received a chocolate bar as one of my birthday gifts from my friend a few days ago. It was a Hershey’s Symphony Giant Chocolate Bar bought from The Cocoa Trees chocolate shop.

Hershey’s Symphony Creamy Milk Chocolate :

As the weather was hot, the creamy milk chocolate bar had almost melted by the sizzler. So, I put it in the refigerator to freeze it.

A few days later, I had almost forgotten about the chocolate until I saw my niece was eating the Hershey’s Symphony Giant Chocolate Bar this evening. It was gone by 90% when I saw my chocolate!

I told her that it was my birthday gift and she returned with a cute grin on her pretty face. My niece told me repeatedly that the Hershey chocolate was very nice and she wanted me to buy some more chocolates for her. Apparently, the chocolate bar is the more the merrier to her.

Then, my niece said to me : “You can buy a lot…a lot of chocolates and I don’t mind” 😉 Oh boy! This is going to burn a hole in my pocket soon 🙁 Well, this is kids’ talk. I always find it funny and amusing as kids are lovely.

Today is my idol’s birthday. I sincerely wish her very happy on this special day of hers.

My gratefulness to her had been written on a birthday card so I’m making the birthday wishes short and sharp over here. I wish my idol beautiful, cheerful, clever, lovely, brainy and fun-loving as ever.

Perhaps one of the best things to do on a public holiday is to go for shopping or eating out at the restaurant.

I bet not many people would want to do some serious reading of books on a holiday when everybody’s mood is believed to be high (on a National Day) and is ready for a celebration if not party.

As usual, I went to the mall for window shopping with my sister and then dropped by a restaurant when we were hungry. We went to the Sizzler — a western food restaurant this time round.

The food at the All-You-Can-Eat Salad Bar were more than enough to stuff a hungry stomach. There was not much room left in the stomach for the main course to be served.

Anyway, I still have the appetite to swallow a cup of Vanilla and Chocolate ice creams. In addition, I managed to finish a plate of fresh fruits before calling it a day 🙂

Today is Singapore’s 44th National Day as on 09 Aug. I would like to wish Singapore and all Singaporeans have a very Happy National Day.

May all Singaporeans live happily, free of worries and have lots of good luck. Happy 44th Birthday to SINGAPORE!!

Today is a special day of mine and I have been waiting for this day to come. I am myself’s best friend and I would like to wish myself have a very blissful day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME 😉

I love to eat cakes and I feel happy whenever I see cakes displaying at the confectionery shops. I seldom had cakes to celebrate on the special day of mine in the past even though I always wanted to have a white cake for my birthday.

White Birthday Cake :

To my surprise, my sister bought me a birthday cake this year and it’s a white one…..my dream cake! I was so delighted and my eyes sparkled when I saw the cake.

Before this, I was thinking as to whether to buy myself a white cake if I didn’t have any this year. What I wished for has finally come true so I think this is a good start from this year onward 🙂

Actually, my family and I have had an early birthday celebration yesterday at my favourite restaurant. Below are the pictures of the meals that we had ordered at the BaliThai restaurant.

I feel very happy and blessed on this special day of mine as on 05 Aug. I would like to thank all my friends for remembering my birthday. I wish my friends happiness and good health. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

My good friend told me that there is a 1-for-1 Ramen promotion going on at the Waraku Japanese Ramen restaurant. So, we took the opportunity to go to this restaurant to celebrate her belated birthday and my early birthday during lunch time today.

We ordered 1 set of Tomato Ramen and got another set of Japanese Ramen free by using OCBC credit card.

As you can see from the pictures, the bowl is as big as a mini basin! Each bowl of noodle comes with a black scoop and a big piece of dried seaweed.

Chopped Garlic :

The irregular-shaped metallic plate is filled with chopped garlic for seasoning purpose. So, the food tastes better by dipping into the chopped garlic.

I like the Tomato Ramen and it tastes better than expected. I think the 1-for-1 Waraku Ramen offer is value for money even if you are not celebrating for any occasion.

Today is my good friend GFF’s birthday. How time flies? My friend is getting……ahem…..wiser 🙂

I would like to wish GFF have a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY today. I believe her mom, Deary, son and daughter would shower her with even more love on this special day of hers as on 16 July.
